Charlie has been in the kitchen CAD drafting and design for 25 years. As a former chef and caterer, he approaches the design process from a logical, practical, efficient, cost-effective standpoint, working closely with your local health and planning departments to meet all of the required codes, and provide a comprehensive set of detailed plans which minimizes questions during the construction process. Charlie understands what is important to restaurant owners and chefs alike, he makes sure that each layout has the proper workflow, equipment, and storage needs that are required to run a busy cooking schedule.
Founder of CAD Solutions Group 18 years ago. He created CSG for dealers and consultants specific to the foodservice industry to assist when overloaded, vacations or manpower was short to meet schedules.
George was recognized for his decades of service to the foodservice industry by NAFEM in 2002 and awarded its highest honor, Doctorate of Foodservice. Recognizing him for his continued leadership introducing CAD to the industry in the mid '80's. George first introduced his idea for a common layering system to an industry wide committee that quickly embraced the concept. It enabled manufacturers to create a database of catalogues. That idea eventually replaced 100 lineal feet of equipment catalogues on shelves. George was featured on the cover of Foodservice Equipment Magazine in 1989 as a pioneer of the CAD movement. He represented the industry for 15 years on the NSF Joint Committee and the ASHRAE TC 5.10 Exhaust Ventilation Standards Committee for 10 years.
